Comfort Care Home provides nurturing, structured residential placements for children unable to live safely within their family environment. We specialise in supporting young people looked after by local authorities whose needs stem from early trauma, neglect, abuse, or complex emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Every placement is meticulously assessed to ensure appropriate matching and the promotion of positive outcomes. We collaborate closely with placing authorities and professionals to create an environment where children feel safe, understood, and equipped to thrive.

Our child-centred, trauma-informed approach recognises that behaviour is a form of communication. Staff are trained to respond to unmet needs with patience, empathy, and professional boundaries, ensuring children feel secure and valued.

We take a holistic view of care—addressing emotional wellbeing, physical health, education, and social development. Tailored care plans are regularly reviewed with social workers and families, ensuring children are empowered to express their views and participate in decisions regarding their lives.

Who We Are.

Our home is designed to provide a warm, welcoming, and homely environment where children can feel a true sense of belonging. Our residential setting avoids an institutional feel and instead promotes comfort, routine, and familiarity. Children have their own bedrooms, offering privacy and a personal space that they can customise to reflect their identity and interests.

Shared living and dining areas encourage positive relationships, family-style routines, and social interaction, while outdoor spaces provide opportunities for play, relaxation, and wellbeing. The home is maintained to a high standard to ensure a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment at all times.

Work With Us

Safeguarding is central to everything we do at Comfort Care Home. We are committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, protected, and confident to share concerns. Our safeguarding practices are fully aligned with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations.

All staff are subject to rigorous recruitment checks, including enhanced DBS screening, and receive comprehensive safeguarding training. We operate clear policies and procedures for safeguarding, child protection, and whistleblowing, ensuring that any concerns are identified promptly and acted upon immediately in partnership with relevant authorities.

Working With Local Authorities.

We work in close partnership with local authorities and associated professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children placed in our care. Open communication, transparency, and collaboration are central to our working relationships with social workers, independent reviewing officers, education providers, and health professionals.

We welcome placement enquiries and referrals and aim to respond promptly and professionally. From initial referral through to placement and ongoing care, we provide regular updates and detailed reporting to ensure placing authorities remain fully informed and confident in the care being provided.
